I was "googling" something about home decor (because I have lived in my house for 5 years and decided it was time to decorate it!) and ended up on an awesome blog called La Dolce Vita. I was hooked and have been obsessing about getting my own blog since! I liked the posts about 10 Things I Can't Live Without and decided that would be a good way to start. So, here it goes:
1. As recently as a couple of months ago: Coffee. I have become obsessed with it! I have found out that it comes in as many flavors and varieties as wine. Each coffee has it's own aroma, flavor, and punch. Don't even get me started on the creamers!

2. My iPhone. It's attached to me at all times. Hands down the greatest invention-EVER!
3. Good purses. Louis Vuitton, Coach, Prada, Marc Jacobs, and Burberry are some of my faves. Ridiculous that I spend that kind of money on a "bag" but nothing makes a girl feel better than to have a fabulous bag slung over her shoulder-right ladies? :)
4. Long pants/jeans. Being a 5' 10" woman with a 36" inseam has been torture all my life. Can you imagine being an 8th grade, 13 year-old girl with that kind of body, with a mother who refused to buy her the Calvin Kleins that actually fit her and instead made her buy the size 12 (and I was NOT a size 12-maybe a size 2) because the bigger the jeans got the longer they got? TORTURE! Needless to say this defining moment in my life created a life long obsession for good pants-which translates to "designer" and "expensive". Good thing I live in Target tops because my purse and pant habit could put a large dent in even Oprah's bank account!
5. My Family. My daughter. She is 9, lovely, and the love of my life (next to my husband of course). She is the reason I have succeeded in life so far, the reason I get up every morning, and the reason I now own a puppy named Starbucks. My husband. My best friend, lover, and soul mate. There's no other way to say it without sounding sappy.
6. Sharpie Pens. Next to the iPhone those may be the second best invention. They don't bleed, last forever, write smooth, etc. When you write and sign your name as much as I do, a good pen is an absolute must.
7. Making Lists. Specifically "To Do" lists. I can't live without them. There is something so pleasurable about being able to cross something off and move forward.
8. My Calendar. I get made fun of for this on a daily basis. I still carry around a "planner" the size of a small planet but I can't move out of my archaic ways. Just like the lists I like seeing my whole day/week/month in front of me. Maybe it's the control freak in me but I have to see and know what's going on every minute of my day-and I must record it. It makes for interesting reading years later!
9. Traveling. I am still the kid with her nose pressed up against the window trying not to miss a single thing when we are driving, flying, or even walking somewhere new. I take zillions of pictures (probably way too many) and soak in every second I can. I love watching my daughter experience new places too. I get to be a kid with her when we travel and there is nothing better than to see things through her eyes.
10. Good food and wine. I love to cook and I love to drink! No, I'm not a raging alcoholic! But, like the coffee, wine has so much to offer a palate. Cooking is a stress reliever for me too. I like taking ingredients and making something out of nothing and then watching my family enjoy it.
There you have it! My first "post". Sorry about the random picture of coffee. I was trying to mimic the other sites I have seen that have these amazing pictures to go with their "10 Things". Guess I have a lot to learn. Ciao for now!
